2006-2007
Timony Grammar School participated in the JFYNet Academic Support program for the first time in 2006-2007. TGS is one of four grammar schools in Methuen and serve grades K-8. JFYNet worked with 97 students from grades 5-8. One computer lab was available for the students to use, and they attended the lab with their teachers as part of their classes (which ranged in size from about 20 to 30 students.) Five math teachers and two ELA teachers used the program, integrating it with regular classroom use and Study Island as a supplement and enhancement to regular instruction. Use of the lab was left to the discretion of the teachers who used JFYNet’s MCAS alignments.
