2006-2007
Taunton High School serves 9-12 grades and its enrollment for the 2006-07 school year was 2,037. The student population was 13.6% SPED and 70.9% white (14.4% Hispanic). There were 108 teachers and 100% of core teachers were Highly Qualified.

The math program was carried out beginning in September, led primarily by two algebra teachers who used MCAS Express (math) in their regular and remedial classes, after-school and vacation classes. Their use was effective and consistent all year. Mid-year, the Taunton School district decided to take large steps to build the capacity of our program in all of their schools by adopting the ELA program. This required significant support from the technology department and involved increasing the capacity of the high school and middle school networks and lab sizes for not only the high school, but for the four middle schools. Despite some growing pains and database issues, the ELA program did get implemented and did receive some use during the last few months of the school year. They used a custom prepared skills-focused alignment that JFYNet created for 7th, 8th and 10th grades. In the FY06, THS had a total of over 200 (active and regular) students in the math program, and approximately 70 in ELA.

The Taunton School District was a recipient of an Outstanding Achievement award at the annual JFYNet ceremony.
