2006-2007
Shawsheen had 10 students participate in the program, all in grade 10. None of these students passed the 8th grade MCAS exam. This was a focused implementation, with one teacher participating in the program and the JFYNet Site Coordinator Peter Nelson helping conduct whole group instruction projecting the math tutorials. Following group instruction, students would work on the practical application of the concept and mastery tests on the computer. Shawsheen was so pleased with the implementation and the motivation of the students that they applied to expand the program in 2007-2008.
