2006-2007
James Mulcahey Middle School serves 5-8 grades and its enrollment for the 2006-07 school year was 524. The student population was 18.1% SPED, 71.8% white and 13.9% Hispanic. 46.2% of students were low income. There were 41 teachers and 88.2% of core teachers were Highly Qualified.

This year, Mulcahey MS doubled their lab capacity over last year, from 15 to 30 computers and implemented the ELA program in the second semester. Of particular note, Mulcahey experienced drastic changes in administrative leadership throughout the year. But despite difficulties, teacher support for the program was continually strong. A few ELA teachers that had begun the program anxious and a little fearful of technology were able to get their bearings and manage quite nicely. Many math assistants noted that they were much more comfortable with the curriculum as compared to last year.
