GED & ADult Basic Education (ABE) Information

The GED (General Educational Development) is sometimes called the High School Equivalence Test/Diploma because those that pass it earn a diploma that is the equivalent of a high school diploma. The GED Test measures if you have mastered the skills and general knowledge that are usually acquired in a four-year high school education. There are five sub-tests on the GED Test: Language Arts – Writing, Language Arts – Literature, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.

Every state in the United States uses GED Test results as the basis for giving a high school credential. This credential is accepted for employment and admission into technical training programs, junior colleges, and four-year colleges. Our mission is to help students master the skills and general knowledge necessary to pass the GED Test and/or upgrade their academic level.
